It turns out that everyone's favorite bastion of one-up-manship and alleged anonymity was hacked by soyjack.party. There was a time when the site had decent posts. In fact, my journey with succubi was partly initiated by a poster on /x/ from 2009. But there was a definite drop in quality once the feds took over, and that's no longer hearsay - it's all but confirmed by the hack. There's a decent breakdown here.

The one redeeming quality of the site post-2016 was the supposed freedom to say nigger and faggot, but beyond that, it was just as horribly moderated as any forum with major traffic. I spent some time running the succubus generals on /x/ back in 2021, but they soon devolved into continuous flaming. I also began to face the unfortunate reality of transgenders on the site strongly associating themselves with succubi and Lilith, essentially turning the threads into their own erotic role play outlet under the guise of being paranormal. So, I decided that 4chan definitely wasn't for me and stopped maintain the generals.

I really hope they don't try to come over here. Not that this forum is the most happening place ever, but I intend for it to be a little haven away from all that BS.

NGL I'm suprised they lasted that long with so many security flaws wide open for anyone to exploit. IG you also need some bravery to actually pull the trigger and do malicious things with exploits you found.

About /x/... yeee once you start reading personal blogs and small forums pretty much everything on /succugen/ seems very stupid. Think that broke me was in late 2024 when someone posted a tutorial how to hear your succ's voice during meditations. It was about placing a microphone near you while you meditate and recording white noise with rtx voice filter applied. Then move that recording to audacity, up the volume and look for random crackles. This whole thing read like a bait, but anons kept replying to it in thread where it was posted + next one. Since I read about that "method" i pretty much stopped reading those threads altogether.

The most generous reasoning I can come up with for that method is that it's akin to ghost box recordings, listening to random noise to divine a message. I do believe in synchronicity and serendipity, but I think using tarot, or simply listening to the thoughts that stream into one's mind while meditating, would be more productive than analyzing noise in Audacity.
